1934 December 17, Saugor Island Flown Rocket Cover and Insert. This larger white cover has a red/white "Shore to Ship by Rocket" rocket stamp in the upper left and tied by a maroon Semaphore Station cancel. The cover is signed by W. Shenton, Lighthouse keeper on the face at the lower left and by rocketeer Stephen Smith on the reverse. The cover includes a flown miniature page of "The Times of India, January 8, 1932" signed by Stephen Smith, as an insert. Only 110 covers and inserts were flown. E-Z No. 7C1a, 1996 cat. = $600.
