1934 December 16, Saugor Island Flown Rocket Cover and Insert. The cover has a black and white "Ship to Shore" rocket stamp attached at the upper left and tied by a Semaphore Station clock cancel. Rocketeer Stephen Smith has signed at the lower left. ALSO included is a flown miniature page of "The Statesman" newspaper dated 26 April 1934. It is also signed by Stephen Smith with a "By Rocket Mail" handstamp in the center. Only 220 covers and inserts were flown. E-Z No. 5C1, C2, 1996 cat. = $500.
