Three Gigantic Trilobites. This magnificent museum quality 32 x 17 inch slab contains three Paradoxites sp., the largest trilobites that ever lived and one of the largest predators of Morocco's warm mid-Cambrian seas. The largest of these beasts is 13.5 inches long and 10 inches in diameter. The other two specimens are 11.5 and 12 inches long. Found in Morocco's Atlas Mountains, the three complete trilobites plus a partial fourth have an attractive orange rust color due to the iron-oxide limonite, making them nicely contrast the gray matrix. They are virtually complete with only minor restoration of a few of the spines on the pygidiums. With most trilobites measuring only an inch or so in length, finding a mass mortality slab of multiple giant trilobites such as this is a very rare occurrence.
