Lot 1620

Pair Of 50 Million Year Old Extinct Bass. This large 17 x 12 inch limestone slab contains two exquisitely preserved Priscarara sp. fish from Wyoming's famous Green River region. The now extinct Priscarara was an ancestor of the modern Bass and is quite distinctive with its thick dorsal and ventral fins. These fish measure 5.5 and 5 inches long respectively and are an attractive dark brown color, nicely contrasting the cream colored limestone. The detail is superb, with all bones and fins finely detailed. The slab has been backed and is ready to hang if desired.

Add $25.00 for domestic shipping.
Estimated Value $375 - 500.
