Dinosaur Footprint, Positive And Negative. This 6.25 x 5.25 inch gray shale slab houses both a positive and negative 5.25 x 3.5 inch Grallator dinosaur footprint. The 200 million year old footprints were found near Granby, Massachusetts and made by meat eating dinosaurs similar to Podokesaurus, whose partial skelton was discovered in the same area. The prints are found on both sides of the slab, with the actual (negative) impression having thinner toes as the mud was apparently very wet and partially collapsed after the dinosaur's foot was withdrawn. The thicker toes on the positive side show some pad detail, as well as claws. This rare double print not only shows the shape of the dinosaur foot, but also the depth of the footprint (0.25 inches).
