Sterling Flatware by R. Wallace & Sons. American, Wallingford, Connecticut, c. early 20th century. Handles with elaborate Baroque design, the earliest examples marked on the reverse with, "Pat. 1895." Most engraved with gothic "H." Set of 8 dinner forks; 8 salad forks; 8 teaspoons; and 8 hollow ware dinner knives, the blades expertly replaced with stainless blades by Wallace, some time in the recent past. All this, plus a specialty spoon and knife. Also six similarly ornate broth or chowder spoons (Whiting Co., New York, NY; Pat. 1891), all engraved with cursive M. Plus other antique and vintage flatware, serving pieces, and napkin rings, plus a souvenier spoon from the St. Louis World's Fair. Worth a close look. Some tasty things here. Weight: at least 1650 grams of pure silver. Lot of 58 items.
