Large bronze statue by E. Rousseau, late 19th century. Cibolero. A grizzled mountain man, replete in fringed buckskin and feather hat, concentrates on the long shot that will bring his target down. This vignette of the old buffalo days of the American West is chock full of carefully observed details heightening the authenticity of the scene. Base with cast inscription: "CIBOLERO, copyright 1972, Richter." Height: 9-1/2".

Hank Richter is an Ohio-born artist, and later resident of Arizona, whose devotion to the themes of the Old and contemporary West has made him a favorite with collectors of Arizona and Western theme art. His talents are expressed in several art media -- most notably in water color and bronze sculpture.
Estimated Value $1,750 - 2,500.
