Paul Berthon. Mon Amour. Early beautiful, original Art Nouveau color lithograph by Paul Berthon, 1893, 16¼" x 12½". Signed with his initials in the plate at upper left. Matted with an original signature under the lower right corner and framed to 27¾" x 23".; the frame has edge nicks and should be replaced. Berthon (1872-1909) came to Paris from Villefranche in 1893, the year he made this lovely lithograph, and studied at the Ecole Normale d'Enseignement de Dessin with Luc-Oliver Merson and Eugene Grasset. Berthon, along with Alfons Mucha, is considered one of the great masters of Art Nouveau.
