Max Karp. Untitled. Enamel painting, signed at lower right. 29½" x 23½", framed to 39¾" x 33¾". The lady holds a parasol in her left hand and the branch of a large bush with the other as she watches four birds pecking at something they have found to eat on the ground. Karp (1916-) is known as the "father of modern enameling" because of his large enamel paintings, such as this one.
