Nova Famigerabilis Insulae Ac Ducatus Rugiae Descriptio. By E. Lubino (Amsterdam, Mercator-Hondius, 1637), 17" x 22". Very good, strong impression. Handcolored except for 30 small panels on either side holding coats of arms from Rugiae's old families. Title cartouche plus another bearing the coat of arms of Philippo Iulio Principi Rugiae. With ships, sea monsters, a windrose and a compass for German miles. Text in French on verso. Very good. Some toning and light soiling.
