Untouched brass furniture with engraved brass patch box, trigger guard, and toe and butt plates. Silver decorative cheek overlay and barrel key escutcheons. The curly maple stock has been repaired several times at the wrist during its working life and is missing small chips from both sides of the upper edge of the barrel channel. The lock is a British Military period replacement marked with "Dublin Castle" and an engraved crown over "GR" (King George III) on the tail.
