Composite Cased Model 1849 Pocket Revolver. #294600 all matching (1867). 5" .31 caliber octagon steel barrel marked "Address Col Saml Colt New-York US America". 50% cylinder scene remaining. Frame marked "Colts Patent" and trigger guard marked "31 Cal". Grips are solid and worn with impressions on both sides, having a single brass tack. Steel is muted gray and no original finish remains with a few patches of light salt & pepper pitting. Action is good. The original box has been married to the gun, lined in correct English green baise with maker's label in lid, marked "Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Co. 14, Pall Mall. S.W. London". Accessories include American Colt patent powder flask, steel bullet mold, cap tin, and cleaning patches.
