[Aces] American, British, German, and Japanese. Francis Gabreski, American ace who shot down 37.5 enemy aircraft in World War II and 6.5 in Korea, FDC signed; Johnnie Johnson RAF pilot credited with shooting down 38 Luftwaffe aircraft, photo standing in front of his plane, signed in lower border; Erich Hartmann, German ace with 352 "kills," the most of anyone ever. PS, 4" x 6"; note on back says "At Luke AFB 2 August 1969; also signed by two other men in photo, Ray Toliver (author of Fighter Aces) and Trevor Constable. Walter Krupinski, German ace with 197 tallies, FDC signed (ironically, the 1970 FDC honors General Eisenhower); Ernst Borngen (?), German ace, FDC signed; and Saburo Sakai, Japanese ace who claimed to shoot down 64 Chinese and Allied aircraft. FDC signed in English and Japanese.
