[World War 1 Generals] Pershing, John J. & George H. Harries. Pershing TLS on "General of the Armies" letterhead, 1p, 8¾" x 6", Washington, 1922 Apr. 8. To Major Carroll J. Swan Commander of the Boston chapter of the Military Order of the World War, thanking him for a banquet which Pershing had attended. Very good; some marginal staining, affecting nothing. With an unsigned Pershing FDC. Also, a TLS ("Geo. H Harries") as Commander-in-Chief of the Military Order of the World War, 1p, 9" x 6½", Chicago, 1922, Captain thanking Captain Pratt for the same banquet, adding, "General Pershing has been telling the President and the Secretary of War…all about it…".
