1787 Auctori Plebis Breen-1147. VF-25. Choice glossy chocolate brown with some lighter brown mixed into protected areas on the reverse. The only marks are a tiny planchet void on the edge at the top of the obverse and a splash of slightly darker chocolate brown toning on the lower right part of the obverse. Smooth and attractive. The obverse portrait shows muted details, as always, but the remainder of the details are strong. The lower half of the date is off the planchet, as usual thanks to the undersize planchets used for these early coppers, but the rest is bold.
