Lot 926

1787 Nova Eborac with Reverse Figure Seated Left Breen-986. NGC graded VF-35. Glossy light chocolate brown with smooth, attractive surfaces. No corrosion or verdigris. The only mark is a faint hairline scratch from the tip of the nose to the left foot of the R in EBORAC. The 17 in the date is clear but the 87 is faint at best. Struck with the dies slightly misaligned with the obverse off to the top and the reverse off to the top as well, which is in the opposite direction due to the normal head-to-foot die orientation.
Estimated Value $400 - 500.
