1788 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 1-D Rarity-3. PCGS graded VF-30. Variety with a period following MASSACHUSETTS. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. No corrosion, contact marks, or verdigris, but the fields are covered with microscopic planchet chips, as struck. These chips are prevalent at WEA in WEALTH and at the opposing area near the rim right of the date. Excellent eye appeal in spite of the imperfect planchet.
