Great Britain. Halfcrown, 1720/17. S.3642; ESC-590. George I, 1714-1727. Laureate and draped bust of King facing right. Reverse: Cruciform shields with roses and plumes in angles. Edge has regnal year SEXTO in raised letters. A few minor obverse adjustment marks. A well struck coin with original luster in lettering and nice surfaces. The strong catalogue price (£2500/$5000 in XF) reflects the rarity of this coin in high grade. Choice Extremely Fine.
