Roman Imperatorial Period. Julius Caesar, d. 44 BC. AR Denarius, Rome mint, 42 BC. Laureate head right. Reverse: Cornucopia on globe between rudder on left, and caduceus and apex (priest's hat) on right; L. MVSSIDIVS. LONGVS. Craw. 494/39a; BMCRR 4238; RSC 29. Reverse a bit off center, but devices complete. Bold, even strike, on excellent metal. Nice old toning, showing some colorful iridescence. An outstanding Julius Caesar coin. Extremely Fine.
