Phoenicia. Tyre, after 126 BC. AR Tetradrachm - Shekel (14.01 g), dated Year 2, struck 125/124 BC. Laureate bust of Melkart right, lion's skin about neck. Reverse: Eagle standing left on prow; palm behind at shoulder; to left, date (LB) above club; Phoenician B between legs, ΓΠP monogram to right. BMC p. 233, 45; SNG Cop. --. Boldly struck, with better centering. Pleasing style for series. Extremely Fine.
