Group of 19th century Fiscal Instruments from New York State (Albany thru Lyons). Consists of checks, drafts and miscellaneous fiscal paper from Albany thru Lyons. We note an interesting N.Y. State Stock certificate issued by the Comptrollers Office on Feb. 20, 1840; Several checks and drafts from various banks in Amsterdam, Auburn, Brooklyn, Catskill, Cooperstown, etc. We also note from the town of Callicoon in Sullivan County a Volunteer Bounty Fund certificate issued Aug. 18, 1864 and much more. Many have interesting vignettes and various Revenue and Documentary stamps. An interesting offering that deserves careful scrutiny prior to bidding. Housed in an album, many with detailed descriptions. Lot of 126 notes.
