(1950) Uniface Dollar. Calif. Statehood Centennial. HK-505. NGC graded MS-63. Octagonal. Bronze, 40 x 40 mm. Very Rare. This elusive uniface, gilt medal has within a beaded circle, the design similar to obverse of the 1851 Augustus Humbert $50 gold slug, with target reverse variety, the principal difference being 000 Thou, in the upper ribbon. The legend around reads Imitation of Famous California Fifty Dollar Gold Slug, Used by the Pioneers * 1850 * Pop 3; 3 finer.
