1888 Nickel Three Cents. NGC graded Proof 66 Cameo. Lovely rose and light green toning on this gorgeous cameo specimen. High-grade 1888 Proofs are scarcers than their mintage would lead a person to believe. Many come on dull planchets. Only 4,582 Proofs struck. Pop 38; 11 finer, 2 in 66 star, 8 in 67, 1 in 67 star (PCGS # 3785) .
