1887/6 Nickel Three Cents. PCGS graded Proof 65. Ahint of light toning, this is one of the few overdate Proofs in American numismatics. The surface lies between satiny texture and full mirror finish, a typical arrangement on Proof strikes in the 1880s. Perhaps the Mint struck this only once instead of twice by the Proof dies (PCGS # 3784) .
