1842 N-9 R2 Large Date. MS-60. Lustrous steel brown with slightly faded mint color covering the protected areas on both sides. This cent is nearly gem except for several thin planchet laminations on the reverse, including one over ONE, another at the M in AMERICA, and a chip out of the rim over the O in OF. Otherwise the surfaces are satiny and virtually perfect. MDS, die state b. Tied for CC#7.
