1797 S-137 R2. VG-8. Sharpness F12 but covered with fine roughness ranging from microscopic to barely visible with a strong glass. No verdigris, but there are a few small nicks in the hair right of the hair ribbon and a thin nick down through the right side of the U in UNITED. Mostly glossy chocolate and light olive brown, the devices a shade or two lighter than the protected areas. The date is bold and the legends are clear. E-MDS, Breen state II.
