1797 S-124 R5+. Good-5. Sharpness near F12 with a dozen or more pitmarks scattered over both sides. No verdigris, but several of the reverse pits show old pinscratches where someone removed traces of verdigris. The bulk of the planchet is smooth and attractive with a uniform chocolate brown patina. The date and legends are complete and strong. E-MDS, Breen state III.
