1797 S-120a R3 Plain Edge. Good-4. Very slightly sharper with microscopic roughness covering the planchet. No marks or verdigris. Slightly glossy chocolate brown with darker chocolate toning in protected areas. The date is clear and easily readable, but NITED STATES are faint or missing. E-MDS, Breen state II.
