1796 S-83 R4. About Good-3. Liberty Cap type. The obverse is G5 while the reverse is AG3, the uneven sharpness typical of lower grade Liberty Cap 1796 cents. Glossy olive and dark chocolate brown. Smooth surfaces that are free of any notable defects, just well worn. The date and LIBERTY are complete and clear but less than half the reverse legend remains visible. E-MDS, Breen state II early.
