Lot 1064

1795 S-78 R1 Plain Edge. VF-30. Very attractive glossy light chocolate brown. Great surfaces and eye appeal. The only marks are a few barely visible rim bruises, none notable, and a spot of extremely fine roughness touching the bottom of the first S in STATES. A minor planchet clip barely affects the dentils at the bottom of the reverse. The date is bold and the legends are strong. A very nice example. MDS.
Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,000.
Ex McCawley & Grellman Auctions 2002 EAC Sale, lot 181.
