Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, AR Tetradrachm (17.19 g), Uranopolis(?) mint, c. 300-290 BC. Struck under Kassander. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle; at left, star atop cone, X below; M beneath throne. Price 513. Sharp, with attractive light toning. Pleasing example of this less common mint. Very Fine to Choice Very Fine.
