1914, $10 Federal Reserve Note. Red Seal. . Fr-894a. CGA graded Choice Uncirculated 64. From the Philadelphia district. A beautiful high quality red seal specimen, among the rarer Types since Blue Seals predominate in this series. In the pre 1933 Gold Standard years, all Federal Reserve Notes were payable in gold on demand at any bank or at the various Federal Reserve district banks. After April 1933, they could no longer be exchanged for gold only other forms of money such as silver coins or various paper money substitutes.
