Lot 3589

1913-D $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-65. Light golden toning. Fully radiant -- an important and rare feature for this often not all that well preserved D-mint date -- the surfaces display Gem quality metallic golden color whose glow is almost unnerving to view. According to our observations, including the key highpoints of Liberty's knee, toes, and face, the strike is above-average, in fact sharp, in all areas. So too with the eagle's wing and breast areas. Pop 314; 4 in 66 (PCGS # 9162) .
Estimated Value $3,800 - 4,000.

Realized $4,025
