1847 Hawaiian Cent. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Well struck and glossy reddish-brown in color, lustrous and attractive. Also free from the corrosive damage that so many Hawaiian Cents suffer due to their pure copper content. King Kamehameha III ruled the Hawaiian Kingdom from 1824 until his death in 1854 at age 41. By the time he died, the native population of Hawaiians had been decimated by smallpox and other introduced diseases, almost to extinction. At the time of his death there were only about 25,000 left alive. Pop 75; 28 finer (PCGS # 10965) .
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,200.
