1828 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Curl base, no knob 2. PCGS graded MS-62. O-104. R3. Evenly toned on both sides. A few tiny marks on the cheek. For the date, a frosty, choice example with original luster on both sides nicely layered in toning. Attractively struck as well, with just a hint of softness at the URI of PLURIBUS and directly above this affecting AT of STATES. Most of the rim dentils are lacking on the reverse. Centers extremely bold and attractive. Pop 49; 82 finer (PCGS # 6148) .
