1852 N-14 R1 Repunched Date. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Lustrous bluish steel brown and chocolate with underlying very faded mint color showing through on the reverse. Sharply struck and very attractive. A tiny spot of darker toning at the upper right point of star 11 and a microscopic planchet chip under the base of the 1 are the only marks, and they are trivial. Rare EDS, die state a. The repunching shows clearly on all 4 digits of the date. EAC grade MS63 and tied for CC#4 of the die variety.
Estimated Value $350 - 500.
