1850 N-7 R2. MS-63. Lustrous medium steel brown with delicate overtones of light bluish steel and 20% of the mint color remaining. Satiny mint luster covers both sides and the eye appeal is excellent, typical of examples from the hoard. The best identifying marks for this piece are a small spot of reddish brown toning under star 5 and a small spot of slightly dark toning just right of star 2. M-LDS, die state b.
