Lot 2207

1820 N-9 R3 Large Date. EF-40. Sharpness near mint state but there are a few traces of extremely fine roughness and verdigris on both sides, especially at stars 1-3 and AM in AMERICA. The roughness is extremely fine and would be easy to ignore since the surfaces show attractive flowline luster covering both sides. Lustrous reddish chocolate and medium chocolate brown with steel brown highpoints. MDS. At the lower end of the condition census for the die variety and perhaps even better if given a bath to remove the traces of fine verdigris dust showing in the few areas of microscopic roughness.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.

Realized $1,150
