1798 S-180 R5+ Style II Hair with Small 8. VG-8. Sharpness F15 but covered with very fine granularity and there are traces of shallow verdigris in a few places. There is evidence of shallow scraping in the field left of the hair ribbon, but the toning in that area matches the rest of the coin so it is barely noticeable. Slightly glossy dark olive and steel. The date and legends are complete and easily readable, although the top of STATES is weak. Rare EDS, Breen state I, before the cud break at ATE.
