Lot 2110

1797 S-143 R5 Stemless Wreath. VG-8. Sharpness F12 but covered with uniform fine granularity under a rather glossy medium brown and chocolate patina. No verdigris or notable contact marks. A small pitmark over the right side of the O in ONE can help identify this cent. The date and legends are complete and easily readable, although the 17 in the date is weakly struck as is the opposing ATE in STATES. MDS. The reverse is slightly misaligned to K-7 and the obverse is off even less to the bottom.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,000.
