Lot 2085

1794 S-54 R3. VG-10. Sharpness VF20 or slightly better but covered with fine corrosion under a slightly glossy patina of dark olive brown with lighter chocolate brown highpoints. The two-tone patina helps accent the details and adds to the eye appeal. No distracting verdigris and the only mark of any consequence is a thin vertical hairline scratch on the cap below the L in LIBERTY. The date and legends are easily readable except for weakness at OF-AM. Early die state, the obverse die still uncracked.
Estimated Value $500 - 750.

Realized $690
