Lot 2068
1850 C-1 R2-. AU-50. Very close to mint state with just a hint of rub on the highest points of the design but it was lightly cleaned and retoned lustrous medium brown and chocolate with very faded red remaining in protected areas. No spots or stains, but there are a few microscopic ticks scattered over the obverse, mostly over star 1 and before the neck. EDS with hints of prooflike surface in the protected areas where fine die polishing lines can still be found.
