Lot 2048

1808 C-3 R1 Rotated Reverse. EF-40. Ten points sharper but there are a few shallow pinscratches on the obverse, all blending nicely into the patina, plus a dull mark on the rim over IB in LIBERTY. The only scratch visible without the aid of a glass is one down from the hair ribbon fading away as it reaches the dentils left of the lower curls. Frosty dark steel brown with lighter steel brown toning covering the protected areas, especially on the obverse. Sharply struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. The reverse is rotated 165 degrees CW from a normal head-to-foot orientation.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,000.
