Lot 2022

1794 C-9 R2. Fine-15. Ten points sharper but covered with extremely tiny nicks, none significant or at all distracting but far too many to ignore. No corrosion or verdigris. Glossy chocolate and light olive brown with a splash of reddish brown toning near the rim at the bottom of the cap and some darker chocolate brown toning at the top of the wreath. The date is bold and the legends are complete. The obverse is properly centered on the planchet while the reverse is off slightly to the bottom causing minor weakness on the denominator. MDS, Manley die state 2.0.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.

Realized $1,208
