1787 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 4-D Rarity-3. NGC graded MS-62 Brown. The so-called "Aged Indian" type in which the Indian appears to be older and hanging his head. Choice glossy chocolate brown with frosty lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. Virtually flawless, free of planchet defects, roughness, or notable marks. There is a touch of friction on the highpoints visible under magnification, but the eye appeal of this piece is outstanding. Certainly in the condition census for this scarce die variety.
