1652 Massachusetts Pine Tree Shilling Noe-16 Rarity-2. Fine-12. Small planchet type weighing 52.5 grains. Attractive frosty medium gray with lighter silvery toning covering the devices. The two-tone appearance highlights the details and enhances the eye appeal. No defects other than a small pinch on the rim at K-1 on the obverse. Portions of the legend are off the small planchet, which may have been clipped down a bit while circulating in the colonies. Fortunately the Pine Tree, date, and denomination are complete and strong. Overall nice for the grade.
