Roman Empire. Large Lot of AE and Silver Coins, c. 2 BC. - 425 AD. Lot includes Denarii of: Augustus, Nero, Vespasian, Titus, Hadrian, Caracalla, and Severus Alexander; plus a half dozen typical silver or billon Antoniniani. The AE's comprise a run of the more typical later 3rd to 5th century rulers, including a not too bad Carausius (double-struck) and Allectus. Other material includes a handful of Jewish Prutot, including a Pontius Pilate; some smaller silvers and coppers of Cilician Armenia; a few Sicilian and Macedonian smaller Bronzes; a Chinese Cash of the Northern Sung Dynasty (c. 1102-1106 AD.); one Sumerian "ring money" in shell; and a Hellenistic clay sealing. Inspection suggested due to the variety of metals and surface conditions. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Lot of 60 coins. Coins generally range from Good to Nearly Extremely Fine, a few worse.
