1924-D Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Mostly untoned, thoroughly enjoyable to examine and describe. This is the last Standing Liberty quarter variety in which the date is on a raised pedestal (which created a condition whereby the dates would wear quickly in circulation). From 1925 to 1930, the date was set in a recessed tablet below Liberty's foot. Not scarce, but the 1924-D is always desirable in Gem condition (PCGS # 5748) .
