Rome, Imperatorial Period. Julius Caesar, died 44 BC. AR Denarius, c. February-March 44 BC. Wreathed and veiled head of Caesar right. Reverse: Venus stands left, holding Victory, while resting arm on shield set atop globe. Craw. 480/16; RSC 9. Nice strike, but both sides off center. Deep old collection toning. Very Fine.
