Ptolemaic Egypt. Ptolemy X Alexander, c. 106-88 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.81 g), Paphos mint, dated 101/100 BC. Stylized head of Ptolemy I right, diademed and wearing aegis. Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; date at left (LIΔ=Year 14=101/100 BC.); ΠA at right. Nicely centered and sharp -- virtually as struck. Abundant luster beneath softly matte dusky gray "find" patina. Choice example of type. Choice Extremely Fine.
